The Story of Rhymes for the Nursery:
In 1806 sisters Jane Taylor and Ann Taylor published a book called Rhymes for the Nursery, a collection of English poems for children. It is where The Star, widely know today as "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" comes from. 200 years later a father with two children started non-profit international preschool scholar publication Rhymes for the Nursery ISSN 2408-9745 with two goals in mind: to rethink the cultural treasure of classical nursery rhymes using modern technology and audio visual tools, and to enrich early children education with new original nursery rhymes of direct appeal for any child, having lyrics easy to understand by a baby or toddler, that parents and educators can reuse as a foundation for new poem or song creation. Rhymes for the Nursery also provides free (user agreement terms apply!) nursery rhyme video download and worksheets: flashcards, coloring book pages, lyrics, mini-books and other printables download, and a variety of family word games and simple crossword puzzles, included in every publication.
